BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Brooke wants a license, and Bethany gives her permission, but Brooke gets into a car accident.😳

[Scene: Evening. Brooke and Bethany are sitting in the living room. There’s a mix of excitement and tension in the air.]

Brooke: Bethany… I’ve been thinking about something for a while now.

Bethany: (glancing up from her phone) That tone usually means trouble. What is it?

Brooke: I want to get my driver’s license.

Bethany: (raises an eyebrow) Your license? Since when?

Brooke: Since forever, honestly. I’m tired of depending on everyone else. I want some independence.

Bethany: Independence… or late-night drives and impulsive decisions?

Brooke: (laughs nervously) Okay, maybe a little of both. But I’m serious. I’ve been studying, I’ve been practicing. I think I’m ready.

Bethany: Ready is a strong word.

Brooke: Come on, Bethany. You’ve seen me drive. I’m not that bad.

Bethany: ā€œNot that badā€ isn’t exactly reassuring.

Brooke: (leans forward) Please. I need you on my side. Just… say you believe I can do this.

Bethany: (sighs, then softens) I do believe in you. I just worry. Driving isn’t a joke, Brooke.

Brooke: I know. I’ll be careful. I promise.

Bethany: (after a pause) Alright. You have my permission.

Brooke: (eyes light up) Wait—really?!

Bethany: Really. But with conditions.

Brooke: Anything!

Bethany: No reckless driving. No showing off. And if you feel even slightly unsure, you stop. Got it?

Brooke: Got it. Thank you, Bethany! You won’t regret this.

[Scene shifts: The next afternoon. Brooke is in the driver’s seat, gripping the wheel. Bethany sits beside her.]

Brooke: Okay… okay… this is happening.

Bethany: Breathe. Mirrors?

Brooke: Checked.

Bethany: Seatbelt?

Brooke: On.

Bethany: Hands steady?

Brooke: Trying.

Bethany: You’ve got this. Just ease onto the road.

Brooke: (slowly presses the accelerator) Okay… smooth… smooth…

Bethany: Good. Keep it steady.

Brooke: (smiles nervously) I’m doing it!

Bethany: Don’t celebrate yet. Eyes on the road.

[A few minutes later. Brooke grows more confident.]

Brooke: See? This isn’t so bad.

Bethany: Confidence is good. Overconfidence? Not so much.

Brooke: Relax, I’m in control.

Bethany: Just stay focused—

Brooke: (glances briefly to the side) Did you see that dog—

Bethany: Brooke, road!

Brooke: I see it—I see it—

[Suddenly, a loud screech. Tires skid. A crash.]

[Silence. The air is tense.]

Brooke: (voice shaking) Bethany…?

Bethany: I’m here. Are you okay?

Brooke: I think so… I—I didn’t see the car coming.

Bethany: (takes a deep breath) Okay. Stay calm. We’re okay. That’s what matters.

Brooke: (tearing up) I messed up. You trusted me and I—

Bethany: Hey. Look at me.

Brooke: (looks over, shaken)

Bethany: Accidents happen. This is exactly why I was worried—but also why learning matters. You’re not the first person this has happened to.

Brooke: But it’s my fault…

Bethany: Maybe partially. But right now, we focus on staying safe and handling it properly. Panic won’t help.

Brooke: (nods slowly) Okay… okay…

Bethany: Turn off the engine. Let’s check if everyone else is alright.

Brooke: (takes a shaky breath, turns off the car) I’m so sorry.

Bethany: We’ll talk about it later. For now, we handle the situation.

[A few moments later, outside the car.]

Brooke: (quietly) I really thought I was ready.

Bethany: And maybe you almost were. But ā€œalmostā€ on the road is a big gap.

Brooke: Are you… mad at me?

Bethany: I’m shaken. But I’m not mad. I’m relieved you’re safe.

Brooke: I don’t think I want to drive again anytime soon.

Bethany: That’s okay. Take your time. Learn from this. That’s what matters.

Brooke: (softly) Thank you… for still being on my side.

Bethany: Always. Even when things go wrong.

[Scene fades with Brooke leaning against the car, still shaken, while Bethany stands beside her—steady, calm, and supportive despite everything.]
