đ âShayla Caught Iman & Delicia Together⊠What She Saw Changed Everything đ±
Shayla wasnât supposed to be home this early.
Her heels clicked softly against the hallway tiles as she pushed the door open, balancing her bag and keys. The apartment was unusually quietâtoo quiet. No TV, no music, not even the hum of conversation.
âIman?â she called out, brows furrowing.
No answer.
She stepped further inside, slowly closing the door behind her. Something felt off. The air itself seemed⊠tense. Like sheâd walked into the middle of something that had just stopped.
Then she heard it.
A faint whisper. A laugh.
Coming from the bedroom.
Shayla froze.
ââŠIman?â she called again, softer this time.
The whispering stopped.
Now her heart was pounding.
She moved down the hallway, each step heavier than the last. The bedroom door was slightly ajar. Just enough to see shadows moving inside.
Her voice trembled.
âWhoâs in there?â
A pause.
Then Imanâs voiceânervous, rushed.
âShayla? Youâreâyou’re home early.â
That was all she needed.
Shayla pushed the door open.
And everything shattered.
Iman stood near the bed, shirt half-buttoned, eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. And sitting on the edge of the bedâ
âDelicia?â Shayla whispered, her voice breaking.
Delicia looked up slowly, guilt written all over her face.
âShayla⊠Iâthis isnâtââ
âDonât,â Shayla snapped, holding up a shaking hand. âDonât you dare finish that sentence.â
The room fell into a suffocating silence.
Shayla looked between them, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
âMy best friend,â she said, her voice barely above a whisper. âAnd my boyfriend.â
âShayla, pleaseâjust listen,â Iman stepped forward.
She stepped back instantly.
âNo. You donât get to come near me right now.â
Delicia stood up, tears forming in her eyes.
âIt wasnât supposed to happen like this.â
Shayla let out a hollow laugh.
âOh, Iâm sure it wasnât. Was it supposed to happen at all?â
Delicia couldnât answer.
âThatâs what I thought.â
Iman ran a hand through his hair, clearly panicking.
âWe didnât plan this, okay? It justâit happened.â
âOh, it just happened?â Shaylaâs voice rose. âYou tripped and fell into each other? Is that what youâre saying?â
âItâs not that simple,â Iman muttered.
âThen explain it to me,â Shayla shot back. âBecause from where Iâm standing, it looks pretty simple.â
Delicia stepped forward slightly.
âShayla⊠I didnât mean to hurt you.â
âBut you did,â Shayla said instantly, her eyes locking onto hers. âYou knew exactly what you were doing. You both did.â
Another silence.
Heavy. Crushing.
Shayla swallowed hard, her voice softeningâbut only slightly.
âHow long?â
Iman hesitated.
âThat long, huh?â Shayla nodded slowly. âWow.â
âItâs not what you thinkââ Delicia started again.
âStop saying that!â Shayla yelled. âBecause it is exactly what I think!â
Tears streamed down Deliciaâs face now.
âI swear, Shayla⊠I tried to stay away.â
âThen you shouldâve tried harder.â
Iman stepped in again.
âShayla, this isnât just about cheating. Thereâs more to it.â
She looked at him sharply.
âOh, Iâm sorryâthereâs more? Please, enlighten me. Iâd love to hear how this gets worse.â
Iman took a deep breath.
âI⊠I have feelings for her.â
The words landed like a bomb.
Shayla blinked, stunned.
ââŠWhat?â
Delicia looked just as shocked.
âImanâŠâ
âItâs true,â he said, voice low. âI didnât mean for it to happen, butââ
âStop,â Shayla said quietly.
And somehow, that was louder than all her shouting before.
âJust⊠stop talking.â
The room went still.
Shayla grabbed her bag tightly, her knuckles white.
âYou know what hurts the most?â she said, her voice trembling. âItâs not even the fact that you twoââ she gestured between them ââdid this.â
Neither of them spoke.
âItâs that I trusted you. Both of you. Completely.â
Delicia sobbed softly.
âI know⊠and I hate myself for it.â
âGood,â Shayla said coldly. âYou should.â
Iman looked down, ashamed.
Shayla took one last look at themâat the two people she thought she knew better than anyone.
âI donât even recognize you anymore,â she said.
Then she turned and walked out.
âShayla, wait!â Iman called after her.
She didnât stop.
âPlease!â Delicia cried.
But the door slammed shut.
And just like thatâ
Everything had changed.
âYeah,â she whispered. âThatâs what I thought.â
From upstairs, Deliciaâs faint voice called out his nameâbut Shayla didnât even flinch this time.
She finally turned her head just enough to speak one last time.
âYou didnât just lose me,â she said quietly. âYou lost someone who wouldâve never done this to you.â
And with thatâ
She walked out into the night, not knowing where she was going⊠but knowing exactly what she was leaving behind.
Iman stood there, frozen.
Caught between the past he broke⊠and the choice he already made.
And upstairs, Delicia stood alone in the silence of a room that no longer felt like a victory.
Because some choices donât come with happy endings.
Only consequences.
